Sometimes, by doing this you miss out on some of the incredibly vibrant and historically rich areas of the city. There are many<a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/rentals\/?destination=192396&amp;checkin=&amp;checkout=&amp;guests=1\"> areas of Barcelona<\/a> which remain relatively untouched by tourists, now is the time to visit the El Born district before everyone else discovers its magical allure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About El Born<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Born has grown into one of Barcelona\u2019s most fashionable districts, located next to the popular and touristy area of the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/blog\/the-gothic-quarter-and-five-magical-legends-of-barcelona\/\">Gothic Quarter,<\/a> it was originally a settlement which was used to host medieval jousts and celebrations. These days El Born is the place where the hip crowd eat, drink and shop. <a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/blog\/the-best-loved-cake-shops-in-barcelona\/\">The cafes and tapas bars<\/a> are much cheaper than the main tourist areas so you can enjoy a full <a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/blog\/4-awesome-places-in-barcelona-for-tapas\/\">family meal even on a budget.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not just about the<a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/blog\/barcelona-holiday-rental-shopping\/\"> shopping and nightlife<\/a> either. The Picasso museum is located here with many works of art featured from when he resided in the city. Also if you have an interest in fashion, you can visit the famous textile museum which was home to the textile guilds of Barcelona. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/catalunyacasas.com\/blog\/4-gorgeous-churches-and-cathedrals-in-costa-dorada\/\">The Church of Santa Maria del Mar<\/a> has an interesting history and wonderful interior architecture which shouldn\u2019t be overlooked.
